The 'War on Terror' is a joke

Reader comment on item: "Death to America"

It's not as simple as just saying, " They're the enemy kill them.". All throughout the Middle east there are people who would love to kill us and hate us more then anything. But why? Why do they hate us so much? They're just like us in that they need reasons to feel certain emotions. So you have to ask yourself what is going on to cause them to feel this hate towards us?

You can't have a war on terrorism. You might as well call it a war on freedom. To stop terrorism is to stop people hating and to do that is to take their freedom to feel and choose, not that we can't try. This 'War on Terror' will not be won, it can't be.

If you want to stop people killing each other you have to find a way to help them understad each other and unite. How do you do that to the entire population? I don't know I'm only 17. Maybe we could get into a world war with aliens. :P

In time our children may grow to hate Islam because of the views that are imposed on them. This is one of my greatest fears because it will lead to continued wars.

Never hate the people just hate the things they do.
