History is a mirror to the future

Reader comment on item: "Death to America"

Submitted by William "J" Ruth (United States), Sep 9, 2002 at 11:09

Sir, the time for bluffing is over, we either attack Iraq and any other Middle Eastern regime that wants to play "bully in the sandbox "or we don't; this let's play twenty "what if's" that some politicians want to play or pacify the world by speeches is only prolonging the answer to the question "is America still in denial?", as the EU and UN are.

The Arab regimes appear to be making this a religious war, pitting the U.S. (Christian) and Israel (Jewish) on one side and the "Peace Loving" Muslim on the other. But if this were a crusade, then America could start in America much like the Civil War. But this will be just a war, maybe, uglier than some, or maybe not -- only history will tell.

Iraq is just one country; Iran is in need of a regime change, too. Will President Bush 43 stop as President Bush 41 did? I hope not.
