Michael, your comments made here are nothing short of profound. It is so important that we decode our mindsets of the "other" and begin to think about things in historical context, and the constructs they have created. The wages for war is death......regardless of the source. When one nation rises upon against another, it is easy to forget that there are many people, person's, pertaining to that nation that are as beautiful, pure, and well-meaning as we see our offsprings.

It is best that before we categorize and generalize people that we study the history of our affairs with them and vice-versa. To every action there is a reaction; unfortunately with war it is the action of the few that causes the most to suffer. The United States does not carry a clean conscience - a matter of fact it is quite distasteful in terms of foreign policies and exploitation of many countries. However, it being our country makes it easy for some to excuse it's actions; especially when we feel we face a common enemy. Unfortunately, at the end of the day our connection as human beings knows no color, creed, or land. Simply said, "self praise is quite meaningless", and war solves no true issues, but places the "power" in the hands of the victor.

You sound like a brother I knew from Music & Art.
