I agree with you. I believe that it is virtually impossible to help any middle east country set up a democratic government. History has shown us countless times that a country ruled by religion is at best intolerable, at worst, brutal. We should not be in the business of setting up governments. We need to find Bin-Laden, Zarqauwi, hit the remaining insurgents hard and get out of there. This new semi-civilized government in Iraq is a fertile breeding ground for civil war.
