Dr. Taha Jabir Al-`AlawaniReader comment on item: Jihad and the Professors Submitted by Meredith (United States), Jun 12, 2005 at 00:40 I decided to search within your site for any articles you might have written that include Taha Jabir, to see what observations you may have shared about the subject professor of Islamic Studies. The search was motivated by an article I just tripped upon at islamonline.net, while researching Tariq Ramadan. The only return I got from your site (article no. 498) was a mild and friendly allusion to the good professor's 'moderate' (publicized) connotation of jihad. Indeed, he may be moderate. But one is inclined to raise an eyebrow when she finds a rather recent news article in which this president of the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences, located in our Great Satan Nation (joke), that refers to "Our Muslim Nation" (rebuking, ironically enough, Dr. Tariq Ramadan's too "liberal" position on Shari'a)....http://www.islamonline.net/English/In_Depth/ShariahAndHumanity/Articles/2005-04/09.shtml Thank you.
