Something To Think About

Reader comment on item: Jihad and the Professors

In the past it was thought that the rate of immigration to the US was in direct inverse proportion to the level of individual economic opportunity and freedom of lifestyle in the home countries of the emigres.

The rate of immigration of Muslims to the US demonstrates a different theory. Islam flourishes through invasion of other countries. As is historically proven, countries with unstable governments soon came under the repressive theocratic control of Islam.

The huge influx of Muslims into the US by the year 2000 indicates that this country had been adjudged by Islamic leaders to have a government unstable enough to merit invasion.

All US administations in the 20th Century must bear the responsibility for this perceived instability.

An atmosphere of acrimonious political assault, character assassination and abuse of free speech in the US continues to exist in the 21st Century to this day.

Islam is hot on the heels of short-sighted individuals who are so willing to give up their civil rights in the long-run for celebrity now.

Politicians playing with the entertainment/media industry as governing and intellectual equals do a disservice to their constituents. Their games are on a playing field destined to become an execution ground for democracy if they continue.
We can only hope that beheadings, lopping off limbs and stonings will not replace the games.

One simply has to read the numbers to understand what is happening here.
