Substance vs SymbolismReader comment on item: Ban Islam? Submitted by Dajjal (United States), Jan 20, 2010 at 22:27 Banning the symbols of National Socialism is not the same as banning the substance of Islam. Banning symbols is akin to painting skunks solid black, it eradicates a vital warning sign. The swastika does not kill anyone, Muslims do, motivated by the doctrines enshrined in the Koran. Those doctrines are standing violations of several provisions of international human rights covenants which require Islam to be proscribed by law as a consequence. There is no national solution to this global problem. The solution must be global. Let us therefore pray to the World Court for injunctive relief from Jihad. The International Qur'an Petition and its supporting documents may be our best hope of publicizing this issue and moving it forward toward real progress.
