Violence was foundational to, and remains deeply embedded in Islam, so it shouldn't surprise us when Muslims offer violence to those who critique it. "Islam is peaceful and peaceloving, how dare you say it isn't? Say it's violent, and we'll kill you!!"

What does surprise me is that Pim Fortuyn's murderer, Volkert van der Graaf killed Fortuyn "to protect Muslim immigrants."

Judged by psychiatrists to be sane, why should van der Graaf commit murder by proxy, for "the religion of peace" I wonder?
