in response to reader comment: how many mistakes

You know what susan? you're right about a lot of things. concerning the problem with islam because i see the same. But as you said in a forum that muslims see Mohammand(pbuh) as perfect. That could'nt be far from the truth now this is coming from me. i cant speak for anyone else but Mohammanpbuh) as a mere human being as Jesus(pbuh). It would be crazy to think that he was perfect and didn't make mistakes.

In that case jesus(pbuh) would be more perfect because of his virgin birth right? but as you said to before that even he made mistakes. But the problem as you claim is not islam but the people meaning muslims. Yes the koran talks about killing, christians and such but one needs to understand that this wonderful world we live in can be very violent. fighting, killing, rape, hurt, pain been going on since the human race began. the koran speaks about the past when efering to christains and jews when you read the quotes. if you can find that...then find whee it says also love christians, jews and all Gods creation and rat them as you wish to be treated.

I m a convert to islam from christianity and have friend from all faiths. i believe that all are right but over time man has tampred with the scriptures also. As for the koran...yes it is the only written book in the world of its kind that has not been changed or revised as God said he'll challege man to try. but even though the book is unchanged the message has. i believe through interpretation...many of these muslim countries are poor and the warlords that control them wont let them read get education because with that they will be be able to read the koran and think on there own. and will raise up against people like the taliban, bin laden and such.

besides the koran preaches education.loyality, justice, peace for all mankind not just muslims. then again islam means peace in arabic, just as other faiths names are derive from something in the way of peace..the names are many but in the end they are all the same...PEACE

it's up to the people of the faith to prove it.....that i think we have in common. all people of faith are not always good and all are not always bad, many in between.
