I have to contest your statement that Wahabism is something new and has been around only for the past 2 centuries. This isnt the point, the point is how does textbook Islam differ from Wahabism?

People refer to Wahabism as if it were some kind of independent dark cult but if you cannot clearly spell out the differences between the textbook Islam and the so called wahabism then your point is not valid.
