I do not know whether you are talking about me, but if it is so I think you should not use "dude" or similar expressions when talking about other people, It is at least a little bit impolite. Secondly, I do not remember having written anything in bbc comments, you maybe are inventing something. If my memory is failing, please to remind. Thirdly I think it would be better to change my label for the clarity sake.
