Romesh, where is the need for rape laws to protect women in Muslim countries? Their prophet told them in his last sermon that 'they are prisoners with you having no control of their persons" (Ibn Ishaq, page 651). Tabari says the prophet considered women to be like domestic animals.Owners of property or domestic animals get mad when some one damages or messes it up and the owners rights have been infringed upon, property/animals have no intrinsic rights. The Islamic rape laws are there to protect property rights of the owners.
