They Who Hate Us

Reader comment on item: Ban Islam?

Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), Sep 23, 2007 at 18:33

I am sick and tired of having to watch the Islamofascists celebrate their holiday every Friday across the street from my office.

I have the privilege of working on 55th Street in Manhattan on the fourth floor. We have a terrace. We see the adherents up close and personal every Friday at the Islamic Society of Manhattan. After services at approximate 1:30 PM, the adherents pour onto the sidewalks where a Turkish restaurant, the Ginger" supplies them with food. They park their motorcycles and the thousands of women's handbags that the Society sells in the street are piled by the hundreds in duffel bags that are over six high and six feet in diameter.

The food buffet takes up the rest of the sidewalks along with the hundreds of adherents and their illegally parked, cars, cabs and trucks .... so they can pray and eat. The Temple up the block has no illegally parked vehicles on the sidewalks. If this isn't bad enough, the women are not allowed to eat with the men or even by themselves. They have the privilege of begging with little brown paper bags.

Old, young and women with children in carriages and in their arms beg for nickels and dimes on the most expensive real estate in the world. A man in white with beard stands guard over them and when the food is finished and the illegal designer bags are picked up by the illegally parked cars and trucks, the berqua clad women one of whom is severely crippled must turn their beggings over to the man who watches them.

I'm supposed to find this insane belief system compatible with the spirit of democracy , equality and freedom which I hold dear? I'm supposed to encourage a belief system that treats women like sub-humans? I'm supposed to admire the Koran that encourages little girls (5 years old) to be veiled so they won't tempt men with their sexuality?

I'm supposed to watch the Jews go through the elaborate security just up the block at the Lexington Avenue and 55th Street Synagogue so they can pray in peace without being murdered? I'm supposed to watch and hope that tomorrow one of these Islamofascist haters of Israelis, Americans, Jews, Christians, Zionists and women isn't going to kill me or my family? If the Koran, and Mosques and Allah and his prophet Mohammed and the berqua clad enslaved women left the United States tomorrow, not a tear would I shed.
