Gosh this is fun isn't it!? For your information young lady, I lived in the Meditteranean several years, majored in ancient history and the Crusades and am more than familiar with the faults within Turkey and Islam. However, people are human, and as much as you may regret this fact, many Turks are genuinely horrified by extremists. I am also an ex soldier very familiar with war, and in war sometimes one has to choose the lesser of two evils.

I know full well about the Armenians and all the rest, including the horrendous history of the Ottomans. Unlike you I am old enough to have met many that belonged to this period. I also know Germans and ex Soviet officers. Do you condemn them all? Every soldier has done things they regret. That is war and all its carnage and rotten contradictions. So please before you rant at me, grow up a little and mature and realise life is shades of grey, not a childish black and white! War does not allow such choices unfortunately! In comics maybe or in your world, not in mine.

Extremes do not assist matters and a little noblesse oblige might allow you to see through the miasma of your present outlook. A close friend of mine is a Lebanese Christian and from such as these I know full well the costs of Islamism: his relatives butchered in cold blood. So do not call me foolish and ignorant!

As a child I lived in Cyprus during the civil war there under EOKA or Enosis, wherein General Greevas sought union with Greece. Many of my parents colleagues were murdered as the British 'occupying power'. However, do I hate modern cypriots and Turks that did this? Of course not!

Makarios was up to his neck in involevment but the British did a deal with him. War is not black and white young lady, and sometimes accommodation is necessary. However, one doubts if one can compromise with Islamism and I have been the first to say so, despite heavy criticism and threats. It is a pity the West does not wake up to this fact. Read my website www.guyleven-torres.co.uk and see what I have said there, warning all in sundry about the reality of Islam and its threat to the West!

There are moderate Moslems by the way! Try talking to some and learn! Many of these are as teed off as we are and the ridiculous attention given to the Islamist loonies by our Left Moslem loving media and Academia.

And I say again that despite everything Turkey has been a good pal of NATO for several years. The loss of such an ally will be detrimental to both Turkey and NATO.

And no I do not think Turkey should be given full access to Europe, but certainly some leeway, if only to keep her on side. As for mass migration of Moslems, I think that should cease forthwith! Am I now able to make myself clearer?

Did you not understand what I meant by 'Divide and Rule'? America has done this for years, as has Britain. I am a Briton not an American so my world view does not necessarily chime with yours!

Anyway thanks for your comments. I am not even offended! It is called REAL POLITIK!
