The depth of the problem we face is seen in the fact that Turkey is still being considered for membership in the EU, even as its own moderate citizens demonstrate by their protests that the Islamists are within a hairsbreadth of taking control, most probably because they have the majority of Turks behind them.

The attitude we need in the West is that the moderates have plenty of time to prove that they and Islam can be trusted. In the meantime, support those who truly act as moderates, but don't trust them or grant them admission to our territory.
