Reader comment on item: A Million Moderate Muslims on the March

Finding "moderate" muslims in Turkey is a hopeless task.

There , the "secular" police persecutes christians , the "secular" nationalists kill armenians , and the "secular" army is killing kurds ( one of the few western allies in the ME ).

As a state , the "secular" Turkey has plenty of problems regarding the armenian genocide , freedom of religion or the status of Cyprus , plus they clashed more than once with western interests in Kurdistan .

Because of the birthrate differential , the real reason behind Turkey's desire to join the EU is simply to take over the establishment from within , and that is the long-term plan for the islamists in Turkey . After all , Turkey will soon have more people than Germany , the largest EU state , and that not taking into account the german turkish community .

The ones that do not understand history - the desperate battles fought for survival against the muslims by europeans - are condemned to repeat it .

Unfortunately , the west is blinded by the "moderate" muslim myth , and the Balkans powder keg will be ignited once again because of the "moderate" muslims in Kosovo .
