"I am not talking about full European membership since she is only partly in Europe. However 1000,000 people took to the streets recently in protest by its Government's attempts to move towards Islamism. The Turkish Army is paranoid about Islamism. They will never allow Islamism back into Turkey. The Turkish Army are sworn protectors of Ataturk the founder of modern secularist Turkey. She has also been a faithful member of NATO for years!"

you don't care that secular turkey exterminate greeks and armenians by millions, and this ONLY in the past 100 years (I will spare you the count of the people massacrated before)

you don't care that secular turkey, no matter what you may say or what your poor experience is of turkey (what? mediterranee club? hotel four season?), that there is anti-christian sentiment, anti-western sentiment exactly like there is in pakistan or sirya.

If you love turkey so much, annex it to USA. You know nothing of european history

"Perhaps you might like to consider an Islamist theocracy in Turkey an even bigger 'hole in the head' "

yes, I support a 200% islamist country so that even fools like yourself can interpret those people for what they are ... The rally was STAGED. it's a police state, the rally was STAGED to show a good face to clean their image after the recent murder of christians.

Turkey has got 30-40% illiteracy rate, no capacity whatsoever, so they have to push turism for the summer season. The rally was just to show a good face after the shameful events.
