Mr. Pipes:

Excellent piece, as always, but your Turkey example may not fly. As Ms. Berlinski points out, the idiot secularists are quite anti-American and, at a minimum, corporatist/statist-inclined. The AKP, on the other hand, has brought about rather significant economic gains for the plain people of Turkey, while keeping their Islamist supporters pretty much at bay.

Let's you and her fight.
