Mr. Pipes, please be wary of self-proclaimed "liberals" you might meet during your trip to Turkiye

Reader comment on item: A Million Moderate Muslims on the March

Mr. Pipes, during your trip to Turkiye, you might meet self-proclaimed "liberals" who try to convince you that the EU is the solution to Turkiye's problems, that Erdogan is a "moderate", that the military does not want democracy and so on. Most of these people were former trockists and now they are ultra-capitalists/globalists hoping to destroy the nation state under the rhetoric of "democracy" and "liberalism".

Most of these "liberals" have hidden agendas behind their lofty rhetoric: They want to see nation states broken up along ethnic/religious lines. They hate the Turkish people for rejecting their leftist fantasies so now they are trying to destroy Turkiye using EU pipe dreams to weaken the state by selling off state-owned enterprises to Europeans under the guise of "privatization" and also by weakening the military under the guise of "democracy", "EU reforms" and so on. Please keep this in mind when you encounter such people, think of them as the Turkish equivalent of the globalists who shipped off entire US industries to China and who are now encouraging the invasion going on in the Southwest.

Sincerely,

Uluc
