Reader comment on item: A Million Moderate Muslims on the March

Submitted by Anthony P. Marino (United States), May 8, 2007 at 13:05

Dr. Pipes,

I question whether moderate Muslims marching in Turkey, and even in Pakistan, has any relavance to the worldwide Islamist movement. It is estimated that 25% of the Muslims in the world are extremist, and these Muslims are buoyed by what they see as Western weakness. Witness the results of the Israeli incursion into Lebanon, and the American political battle being waged over Iraq in the US.

God bless,

Tony Marino
