"exhorted Altaf Hussain, leader of the Mutahida Qaumi Movement, at the rally."

According to Wikipedia "

Altaf Hussain (Urdu: الطاف حسین) is the leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement formerly known as the Mohajir Quami Movement (MQM), a Pakistani political party. Hussain is currently in self exile in London, England due to his claim that his life is in danger if he returns to Pakistan. He has taken British nationality which is unique, as he is the only Pakistani politician to take foreign citizenship, although many have remained in exile. Hussain is known for and often ridiculed for his bizarre and crazed speeches, with some observers suggesting he may have a mental disorder.

Altaf Hussian is leader of Muhajir Quami Movement , he is leader of refugees who came to pakistan when this Islamic nation was founded in 1947. These refugees are being hated by common pakistanis and Punjabi muslims in pakistani govt. they are being marginalised badly. so its their protest to gain equal share in Pakistani resources and power. They are muslims, and majority of them participate in Anti American Marches.
