G. Marcus, misunderstanding the Qur'an,

Reader comment on item: Resisting Islamic Law

Reading your article(125933), it is clear to me that you do not understand the intentions of Muhammad or the words of the Qur'an. When Muhammad started "reciting the Qur'an", his first step was to convert the Jews in Mecca to Islam.

Thus, the beginning of his prayers to "Allah", were in the direction of Jerusalem. And some of the Ayas were condescending to the Jews, believing that he could convert them. When the Jews refused to accept Islam as a religion, Muhammad became furious. He changed the direction of his prayers from Jerusalem to Mecca. Muhammad and his warriors attacked the Quraish tribe(Jews) and murdered over 800 Quraish, men, wives and children. The Quraish tribe had no weapons at the time of Muhammad's attack, so they could not defend themselves. Muhammad's opinion of the Jews changed rather drastically.

Now let us look at some Ayas recited by Muhammad regarding Jews.
"The Glorious Qur'an":
3:85 If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).
5:60 Say: "Shall I point out to you something much worse than this,(as judged) by the treatment it received from Allah those who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath, those of whom some "He transformed into apes and swine", those who worshipped evil; - these are (many times) worse in rank, and far more astray from the even path!" 7:166 When in their insolence they transgressed (all) prohibitions, We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected."
9:5 But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans(Jews) wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
9:123 O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers (Jews) who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him.
Marcus, you say that "Any Muslim who denies or fights Jewish sovereignty over the Land of Israel is committing an unpardonable sin against the commands of Allah as revealed in the Holy Qur'an".
These words were uttered by Muhammad, while he was still trying to convert the Jews to Islam.
In 638AD, the Muslims defeated Israel, and to this day, Muslims(Fatah and Hamas) are fighting to recover Israel, because any land ever occupied by Muslims belongs to them for ever. In fact the entire world belongs to Muslims, Allah said so .
