in response to reader comment: Respect Mohammed?

You have been pretty definitive. Any responses from the likes of Mansoor and spa will be within the scope of the following comment by Dr. Abdullahi Ahmed An-Na'im, a professor of law at Emory University and author of "Islam and the Secular State":

"Those who are attacking violently are declaring their impotence," he said. "Because they have no answer, they want to kill the originator of the idea they have no answer to."

I have read comments by a lot of violent Muslims and heard arguments from several moderates and the consistent impression I have taken away is superbly described by Don's list of questions. I will be copying and saving them. Fortunately for me I have never lived in fear of my life from the practioners of that "religion of peace" as Don does. My prayers are for his safety and security.

Hopefully there will be a time when the Islamic World is emotionally secure enough to hear criticism of Muhammed (MGHMOHS) without flying into a murderous rage. If there was ever a seed of the Word of God at the basis of the Qur'an then there will be a chance that it can be discovered after his followers are able to pass through the trauma of an Enlightenment and find a truly spiritual path.
