Reader comment on item: Resisting Islamic Law
in response to reader comment: To Jennifer, Plato, Infidel and others You are mislead

Why, Mansoor, should I respect the man who brought such into our world? Why should I respect a man who was a caravan raider and slaughtered those who resisted him? Why should I respect a bigoted, hate-filled nomad who told his followers it was their duty to hate Jews and even to kill the "descendants of apes and pigs"? Why should I respect someone who ordered his followers to "smite the necks" of those who resisted Islam? Why should I respect a man responsible in his lifetime for the deaths of thousands of innocent people, and ofter his death, literally millions? Why should I respect a man who would call himself a prophet and yet marry a six-year-old little girl and consummate that marriage when she was only nine? Why should I respect a man who's made the lives of billions of women past and present absolutely miserable and leaving them wishing they'd never been born? Why should I respect a man who brought into this world a book of hate that has been the cause of so much murder and terroism throughout the centuries? Why should I respect a man who would tell you today, right now, to find me and kill me because I have insulted him? I don't have to respect your so-called prophet. I have studied him and your religion, and I find absolutely nothing redeemable about him or Islam that deserves my respect.
