Hi Doc,

Thank you for your comments. I'm glad to know that the information provided helped show the specific theological reasons for the bias that Islam has against dogs. It is actually surprising to know that many Muslims living in Western societies don't seem to be aware of the true reason why dogs are to be avoided. They are just taught to believe and proclaim that "dogs are unclean".

Yet, it is plain to see in the cited Ahadith that according to Islamic theology "angels will not enter a house where there is a dog" and Muslims will lose "rewards" for any good deed they have done as long as they own a dog for a pet. The justification for Muslims to dislike, avoid and kill dogs is based upon Islamic theology.
