I am a Muslim and I know some about the Quran and Islam. There is nothing in Islam that says dogs are evil animals. It is all traditions and some fake hadiths. Are you going to tell me there are no dogs in Indonesia, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia? Wrong! dogs are in the millions in Muslim's houses. It is a tradition that does require you to clean up good before prayers if you became in contact with a dog's mouth. It is the dog's mouth that is considered dirty.

As for pigs, yes there is a mention in the Quran not to eat them. The Quran does not say a pig is an evil animal. Just don't eat pigs. You can have pigs in your house as long as you don't eat them.

These extremist ideas are very bad for the religion. There are some in Saudi Arabia who refuse to have air conditions in their houses exposing their children to that extreme Saudi heat. It is very hot in summer in Saudi Arabia. This by itself is a crime. They do it to live like the Prophet lived. Some also try to dress like him. Read how reasonable and moderate the following verse is.

(Quran 2:173) He hath only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that on which any other name hath been invoked besides that of God. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then is he guiltless. For God is Oft-forgiving Most Merciful.
