If there is a "third party" responsible for the suicide bombs in Iraq, it's coming from Syria and/or Iran. They could be part of the problem; they are supplying the insurgency in Iraq because the last thing these countries want is a free and democratic country in their midst. If Iraq is successful, the chance is increased for unrest and revolt among citizens in their own countries.

But remember Saddam was a Sunni, and his Bath Party held a "big stick" (to put it mildly) over the Sh'ite population, which was much larger a population than the Sunni. Now that Saddam the Sunni is gone, the Sh'ites are feeling bold. And the Sunnis are angry that their former power over the Sh'ite population is no more. Saddam was ruthless; upon his assuming rulership of Iraq, what was the very first thing he did? There is film of him standing on a stage, calling out members of the listening audience for immediate execution. No trail. No explaination. This is why there were no suicide bombs. Even a rumor was enough to execute whole families. Saddam ruled with an iron fist, people who lived under his government would later explain how it was, FEAR of this tyrranical dictator kept the Sh'ites and Sunnis in line.

The U.N., as well as most of the world, did not have a clue how massive the destruction of Kurds by Saddam was, until dozens of mass graves were discovered, and witnesses came foreward.

Speaking of witnesses - have you ever heard of "Beneath the Veil"? It is a four-hour documentary by Saira Shah, who's father was born in Afganistan. This documentary was filmed by Saira Shah, who traveled undercover to Afganistan in 2000. The four hours documents, much by hidden camera, life under the Taliban. The film footage is irrefutable; it shows landmarks, government buildings, the soccer stadium that was given to the Afgans by the U.N. and was then used apon the arrival of the Taliban for public executions. These executions are filmed.

If these are not sufficient, just do a "search" on "Beneath the Veil - Taliban".

How do you like your life in Canada, Faiz?
