Dogs on public transportation

Reader comment on item: Resisting Islamic Law

Submitted by Romesh Chander (United States), Feb 20, 2008 at 20:13

I wonder what would a muslim do if a public bus allows a dog to ride? In Seattle area, one can have a dog on the bus; the passenger does not have to be blind. In Bellingham (WA) area where I live, the public transport is considering this issue which has been just been brought here; soon, the dogs will be allowed on public transport.

I hope muslims live up to their religion and refuse to ride any public transport system which allows dogs to ride; I don't expect the bus system to de-dog it after every run. May be we will extend it to planes and ships and railways and subway systems.
