Steadily Losing Ground To Islam

Reader comment on item: Resisting Islamic Law

Mr. Pipes,

What happens when you mix political correctness with multicultural diversity? "Civilized" nations without any unifying sense of identity.

I find fewer and fewer Westerners who are willing to consistently fight back against the Islamizatioin of our Western civilization. Yes, we see victories here and there, as with the persistent cabbie situation, store clerks who refuse to sell pork, etc.. But by and large, Muslims are gradually wearing the West down; through a combination of violence and "peaceful dialogue"... Geert Wilders, the Dutch politician and filmmaker has the right idea. But when idiots like the Anglican Archbishop make statements like "Sharia is inevitable", it is like we are only making two steps forward for every three we take backwards; away from the ideas that have enabled Europeans, and especially Mother England's children to prosper.

I will never personally surrender to...Islam, but I am feeling more and more isolated with the passing of each day. I wish you luck with your own efforts at educating people, but too many people are turning willfully deaf ears and blind eyes to the truth. These same people will wake up one day and wonder where our most cherished freedoms have gone.
