in response to reader comment: Jennifer Solis, Take Knowledge In This

Yes, God promises whoever desires the Gospel shall receive the Gospel. Whether the jungles of South America or the vast plains of Africa, even in places like Pakistan - where a Muslim woman found one of the booklets written by my Pastor in the attic of her family's new residence. The booklet contained the Gospel and she became a believer (she wrote a letter thanking him). Missionarys have my admiration and respect, but God's promises are dependant on His righteousness, not ours. Even when there is no missionary, if the Gospel is desired it will be presented. That's the awesome power of the promise from God.

When a person becomes a believer in Jesus Christ he receives eternal life, and is a permanent member of God's family. We also receive permanent indwelling of all three members of the Godhead.

"You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." - 1 John 4:4

- I chose the last part of this verse to reply to Ibn Sina, with a twist - "....than he who invented Islam". Islam is in the world. Although "freedom through military victory" is a bona-fide Biblical doctrine, our greatest power against the evil in this world is being actual members of God's family. Jesus Christ controlls history.

For me, this is the power of the knowledge of the Word of God.

Thankyou for your reply. I kept it short and sweet with Ibn Sina - I'll do so again with this - "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved." - Acts 16:31
