Reader comment on item: Is Turkey Going Rogue?

Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Sep 28, 2011 at 17:11

Let us hope and pray that Erdogan doesn't get it into his head to even think about war with Israel. An attack on Israel would be certain folly for Turkey, causing not only international repercussions and a ripple effect with its neighbors, but would also affect tourism which, to a large extent, brings in much-needed revenue to this popular tourist destination. Erdogan had better watch his step. "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."--Baron Acton.
