Reader comment on item: Is Turkey Going Rogue?

Submitted by Tim Lock (Saudi Arabia), Sep 27, 2011 at 17:10

The article takes an extremely once sided view of the events sorrounding Turkey and Turkey's reactions, while, conveniently sidestepping steps taken by the present Government. Turkey did not create the Mavi Marmara problem nor did it encourage the humanitarian aid convoy. But when Israili military boarded and attacked, the ship and killed in close range Turkish civilians armed only with fire extungieshers. Turkey only asked for apology and compensation and thus have chosen the peaceful path in order not to interrupt its normal relations with Israel. Israel however chose not to utter few words of apology for its murders in cold blood. Few words of apology in return for 10 lives and Turkey is going rogue? Excuse me? The rogue here is the one who kills civilians in international waters. Nota responsible government asking for few civil compensation.

The articles problem is not Kurdish incursions, or Turkeys next land operation into Iraq, or Syria, or Turkeys protection of its interests in the Mediterranean, the whole point is further isolation and exposing of the real rogue of the world. Israel.
