There is no such thing as moderate Islam

While I respect Daniel Pipes and agree with many of his ideas I think he does us a disservice by trying to suggest that there are 2 different types of Islam., a moderate and a radical kind.

I think that one only has to read about the life of Mohammed to understand that there is only one Islam.

The only difference is the degree to which some people practice it. But it does not change the fact that Mohammed preached a belief system that promoted violence and hatred of those who did not submit to it.

Even his final words before dying were to curse the existence of Christians and Jews. How can you make something moderate out of that??
