Will Holland Resist Islamization?

Reader comment on item: Will Europe Resist Islamization?

I haven't conducted any polls, but trying to gauge the mood in my own country, I would say that , after the release of the anxiously awaited movie Fitna (anxiety of various kinds!), Muhammadans in the Netherlands feel comforted by the strong trend of condemnation by politicians and the media of the (perceived) message of Geert Wilders' pamphlet, while a sizeable percentage of the general population (certainly many times the number of Wilders voters) are applauding the (dare I say) quixotic MP's courage in standing up to both the Muhammadan fundamentalists and the PC establishment.

Wilders' breakthrough in the last parliamentary elections (almost 7% of the popular vote) may reflect a trend, but I feel that trend is even more tangible in the way many Dutch citizens are now expressing their moral support for a man whose message they find too radical and their irritation at the attitude of politicians they find too placatory.
