To Thiagan and Singha regarding Amin Riaz's India

in response to reader comment: Islam in India

I found Amin Riaz's comments to be so ridiculous as to not warrant a reply.

I am in full agreement with you that Islam's invasion of India was one of the more horrific parts of human history, with it's massacre, widespread rape, cultural devastation, culminating in a ruthlessly totalitarian Islamic oppression - the invasion itself lasting from 712 to 1690 A.D.

Any attempt to outline India's history with regards to Islam is impossible to portray in just a few words. Here is a site that I think does a very in-depth and interesting job of explaining the history of Islam in India -

It is a long article, but I believe worth reading - I would be curious to know, Thiagan and Singha, your opinion of it. Interestingly, it's author was born a Muslim.

"Invading from without or multiplying from within" -the quote from Will Durant - more and more, this apparently is the death knell for freedom.
