Reader comment on item: Will Europe Resist Islamization?
in response to reader comment: Trans-parere, I get the message

My dear Infidel, Youre intentionally duplicitous in your communication and unable to allow any opinion than one that reflects your myopia. You choose a word, completely misrepresent it's use, and then portray yourself as being put on when it was you who hijacked my post to push your limited cultural, archaic traditions.

I would rather you didn't enjoin my conversations or respond to my posts. Your a false person who has proven this with your snide and ill-mannered attacks. Your non-arguments lack any real legitimacy other than to serve as a platform for your antipathy. And I'm not comfortable being the vehicle for you to travel that path.

I am seeking an exchange of ideas with people who are not afraid of a diversity of opinion and outlook. I'm not interested in communicating with people who exhibit a hostile and closed mind. I acknowledge your fear of change that diverse cultures bring and your tribal need to throw up bulwarks to keep them at bay. However, I find your angry, dogmatic and defensive posture part of, and a major contribution to the Islamic response in western democracies.

We, western democracies, are Nations of laws. And when people arrive from different countries with different cultural norms we need to remind them of these differences in law and appreciated behaviors. Not attack them for being born into Islam [etc.] just as we wouldn't for those fleeing communism or any other type of authoritarian regime. Try to remember that those people immigrating are looking for a new beginning and have left the security of their cultural ways behind and need from us not hostility but correction and to learn that breaking the law means imprisonment , our way of removing them from the advantages of our society. That our law is just and applies equally to everyone no matter their culture or religious doctrine.

I wish you the very best and will continue to pray that reason and tolerance towards my fellow man comes to be the norm and that eventually the tribalist and culturalist who wish to impose themselves and their doctrines of exclusivity on others are openly condemned as Neanderthalian and non contributors in this 21st century. The future of all mankind, as a global entity, is in a period of transition while we seek commonality in our societies and especially jurisprudence. The protected rights of the individual in law must prevail over the desires of religious/cultural/ethnocentric tradition.

In the morning gather thyself to purpose,
in the evening discuss the manner,
that thou hast been this day,
in word, work, and thought.
