Amin Riaz: Let us hear you condemn slavery unconditionally

Reader comment on item: Will Europe Resist Islamization?

Amin, you wrote to Jennifer:

>>The Hindu caste system was one of the most prolific idoelogy that India suffered against and it was no wonder Islam did so well<<

The caste system has been the bane of Hinduism and educated Hindus will be the first to admit it. That is why there are strict regulations against its practice today and India has the world's strongest affirmative action system in place to correct the social imbalances caused by it over the centuries.

As a historian you must be aware that hundreds of thousands of Indians were made slaves and transported to the Muslim world. Can you honestly believe that the slaves preferred to have Muslim masters away from their families rather than suffer under caste discrimination?

The Hindus willingly condemn the caste system as practiced in India. But I have yet to hear a single Muslim condemn the slave capturing, keeping and trading that is allowed by Islam.

You are educated and a historian to boot, so Amin Riaz, WITHOUT ANY HUMMING AND HAWING ABOUT HOW ISLAM CALLS FOR HUMANE TREATMENT OF SLAVES AND HOW IT WAS THE ACCEPTED PRACTICE OF THE TIME, LET THE READERS OF THIS FORUM HEAR YOU SAY THAT THE KORAN ALLOWING SLAVERY IS CONDEMNABLE AS AN INEXCUSABLE AND EXTREME VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS.
