"Intractable": not easily cured or managed; obstinate; stubborn

Reader comment on item: Will Europe Resist Islamization?

Submitted by onlytruth (United States), May 16, 2008 at 07:50

There's little to no evidence that Muslims, in the long run, are going to "fit in." Oh sure, now -- today -- Muslims don't mug us or rape us or murder us or burn our cities -- oh, wait! Yes, they do! And when they do the inevitable Muslim reaction is always, always tepid and couched in terms of causation issuing from unemployment or poverty or discrimination or...blah, blah, blah.

The source of such deadly hatred for us is never, ever Islam itself. How could it be? Islam is a religion of peace! Mr. Pipes suggests that we must find ways to "help them fit in." But what if Muslims don't want to "fit in" or can't "fit in"? What if it is impossible for Islam to "fit in"?

Where, in all the history of Islam, have Muslims not overwhelmed native cultures once they reach significant numbers within it? Even if it takes hundreds of years, Muslims WILL dominate, conquer. That's their history. We Americans have a "last recourse." We can effectively revolt against the feckless, suicidal kafir elites who are leading us to the cultural slaughterhouse. We have guns. But Europeans will "go" in helpless silence, much like Jews during the Nazi era (Warsaw ghetto excepted). We Americans thank you Europeans. You're teaching us how NOT to deal with the Islamic issue. Tolerance is clearly not the solution.

The solution may begin with the question: How does one deal with an intractable problem?
