That is the point - which you graciously expound on...In your mind there is a distinct difference between Mormonism and Christianity (per se) and yet somehow you allow for generalizations regarding Islam...interesting...

Who says there isn't enough Muslims denouncing violence? What quantity is enough? Or, perhaps your ears aren't tuned in the right direction...

Who says that the definition of religious virtue is the promotion of democratic values (however one defines such a term). And what religion is generally identified as "promotes democratic values"?

You have every right to harbor expectations and even criticisms but can't rationally assume that them being so narrow would be anywhere near definitive?

Yes, you have given a sample of questionable comments. I for one, would not generalize such samples as representative of the faith, or as evidence enough to call into question the faith itself - I would simply question the individuals who made the statements
