The Vatican Confronts Islam
Reader comment on article: The Vatican Confronts Islam
in response to reader comment: I am shocked!

Submitted by EuGene Turner (United States), Dec 18, 2006 at 17:55

WoW, you said a mouth full. I read your comment and I thought to myself: This guy's a thinker! Excellent.

Just what is a Christian anyway? I think Jesus the Christ sums it up rather nicely when He said: "Why do you say you love me and DO not what I say".

A Christian is the product of some one (male or female) who has responded to someone who has shown them that they are born with original sin (I am speaking of The Holy Spirit here and His work within the context of The Holy Trinity, and yes He is a person).

Before becoming a Christian, a person is brought to the realization that he or she is a sinner and is worthy of spiritual death and will experience it unless there is intervention from somewhere. It is a personal and profoundly convicting conclusion to anyone who really is sorry for the sins that they have committed and wants to be forgiven and is willing to repent of their sin/s and accept the sacrifice that God Himself has provided as full payment for the sin/s of the individual and also for the sins of the whole world.

There are NO denominations in the Holy Bible. God has said it all is His Son Jesus the Christ. There is no other way to be redeemed apart from a personal relationship with Gods sacrifice!

Now we get to the problem: But I don't want to be a Christian Gods way, I want to do it myself, where it satisfys me, I want to be a religous crook, a charlaton and a wolf in sheeps clothing. There is so much of that done in the name of Christianity. There are some great men of God in this world and I am not putting all ministers of the Gospel into the same basket, still, there are a lot of frauds out the, and that included Muhammed the Prophet of Islam. There are over four thousand religons in the United States alone, cultic and non-cultic and they all in some way or another name the name of Jesus Christ or identify with Him in some way, but, they mostly say "you have to have something more" Jesus is not enough. But they all have one thing in common, they all deny that Jesus Christ is God in human form, not one will pass that test!

Muhammed blew it when he changed the Biblical story of Gods dealing with Abraham. Ishmael was the product of an adulterous union with Hagar, and the Biblical account is already existing text in The Old Testament long before Muhammed came onto the scene. Muslims are NOT RESPONSIBLE for Muhammed's lie, they are the victims of his untruths, and, by comparing the Biblical record which is the oldest record we have to that of Muhammed some 600 odd years after Christ died can lead to only one conclusion: Somebody isn't telling the truth. And because the Bible is the oldest and the only record that Muhammed had to play with in order to promugate his plagerism (and some still do) their view points on how to get to Heaven. What is ignored is the words of Jesus Himself, not many pay attention to Him and as Isaiah said: "All we like sheep have gone astray", (there's the collective accusation of the world) and then: "Each of us has turned to his own way", (thats the individual departing from God), and Isaiah further said: "But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him", and he isn't speaking of Muhammed.

My Friend, what could you ever do that there is NOT enough Grace to forgive you for? Nothing, sinful man can be forgiven for ANYTHING if he is willing to come to God God's way and God said "This is My beloved Son, hear ye Him". It's a personal walk with God The Son and one must believe in Him and not what one is told about Him. I'll bet you are a good man, loving your family, doing good to others and that you have tremendous faith. The ONLY problem you have is that your faith is in the wrong hands. May that change soon. EuGene Turner.
