Religion is metaphoric, not historic.

The biggest problem in this subject is that all religious (irrational) people believe that those fantasy books are history. If they would study history, they would realize that those ideas existed for thousands of years before.
It is called sun worship, and all astrology originated, no matter how you cut it. All the rituals and misterious tales were conceived to impress feeble minds and exert control. It has no bearing in spirituality, which is human, not related to false and superstitious fears (and guilt!). IT IS ALL METAPHORICAL. And taken that way, there are some positive points (love your neighbor, etc) but taken literally, is the most inhuman and cruel irony (all of them, no exceptions).
