Reader comment on item: The Vatican Confronts Islam

Submitted by joe (United States), Jul 5, 2006 at 11:35

This is not the first time that "Islam" has been confronted by "harsh words' from the Infidels in the "dar al harb".

Not so long ago, when the British and French assisted the Ottomans in the Crimean war did the European infidels also demand fair treatment of non-moslems in the Turkish empire as well as for the pilgrims visiting the holy lands.

Not only was this "gentilemen's agreement/harsh confrontation" ignored, but less than forty years later did the Turks begin their campaign of terror and mass murder against the Armenian Christians, followed by the Syrian Christians, Greek and Italian Christians, Nestorians and Jews. This Islamic-Turkish blood lust has yet to end. Turkish murderous riots against the Greek people continue. The unprovoked invasion of Cypress in 1974 against non-moslems. Not to mention the attempt to assasinate the last pope by a moslem Turk.

Tell me, exactly what has changed in the moselm world since then ?
