Taking the high road is an admirable path to follow but I'm afraid you're speaking to the wrong audience. Western intellectual elites across the globe are willing to speak out about the virtues and historical and cultural impact of Islam in the past, in the present, and in the future. The problem is... there are no Islamic intellectual elites willing to step up and voice a moderate integrated worldview of their faith and culture.

Either they're too afraid of the radicals or they're radicals themselves.
