Cabbie from NY

Reader comment on item: Don't Bring That Booze into My Taxi
in response to reader comment: Another Molehill

Submitted by James P Nowakowski (Japan), Nov 11, 2006 at 21:41

This is just about the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I was a cabbie in NY for 15 years and we didn't pick up blacks because of fear of being robbed or stabbed. What is the fear in transporting a bottle or two?

The cabbies should be more concerned with earning a living and being good citizens. This issue makes the lives of other good citizens inconvenienced
