In Canada this type of expedient appeasement has become part of the Canadian charachter.

In Canada If anyone criticises Islamic persons or their maniacal beliefs then that person can be censured or reported to a human rights commission. The media polices itself and avoids anything that would seem to agravate Islamic fundamentals. MOslem cab drivers in Canada if they are refusing to carry liquor or Dogs in their vehicles would be back paged if reported at all.

The previous primeminister of Canada (a Liberal) very nearly succeeded in Islamic persons in Canada to conduct their affairs including business all under Sharia Law. The new Conservative government has shelved the Sharia movement but at the Provincial(State) level the more radical Moslems are pushing for Sharia implimentation. The National government of Canada is currently a minority in its number of elected representatives in the Canadian multi-party system. If qwerky Liberal sentiment pushed for Sharia Law even the Canadian conservatives could be seem allowing it in order to stay in power.
