Lights on cabs equals veils or Islamic clothing in general

Reader comment on item: Don't Bring That Booze into My Taxi

Submitted by Mark James (United States), Oct 10, 2006 at 14:20

The scheme works two ways. It seems fair that while the Muslims will lose fares from people carrying alcohol, yet devout Muslims will avoid taking the taxis that are not Sharia compliant as indicated by the special lights. This is how non-Muslim businesses go out of business in Muslim neighborhoods. Moreover, the discrimination may extend beyond the airport so Muslims will not take non-Muslim cabs all over Minneapolis-St. Paul.
