Muslim Cab Drivers and Public Transportation

Reader comment on item: Don't Bring That Booze into My Taxi

Submitted by Bob (United States), Oct 12, 2006 at 08:05

I sent this email to the MAC:

"Cabbies not allowing passengers to carry packaged alcohol in their cabs should be banned from the airport or sent to the end of the line. This is a restriction that infringes on the rights of passengers being served by cab drivers at the airport that should not be tolerated by the air port.

It is also a dangerous precedent that can lead to broader discrimination against those served by carriers in every line of public transportation based on the religion of the drivers of the particular carrier.
