Muslim Cab Drivers and Public TransportationReader comment on item: Don't Bring That Booze into My Taxi Submitted by Bob (United States), Oct 12, 2006 at 08:05 I sent this email to the MAC: "Cabbies not allowing passengers to carry packaged alcohol in their cabs should be banned from the airport or sent to the end of the line. This is a restriction that infringes on the rights of passengers being served by cab drivers at the airport that should not be tolerated by the air port. It is also a dangerous precedent that can lead to broader discrimination against those served by carriers in every line of public transportation based on the religion of the drivers of the particular carrier. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
