Weaking of Etiquette

Reader comment on item: Don't Bring That Booze into My Taxi

Submitted by Boyd White (United States), Oct 12, 2006 at 07:11

One reason why less government would solve this problem of government having to coddle religions and enforce etiquette. It wasn't the bus drivers and trolley drivers who made black people sit at the back of the bus. It was the government. Business people engage in free transactions. As such, if the Taxi Driver's refuse, they should not receive special treatment, but as adults go to the back of the line as the rules state. The etiquette of the Taxi Driver system is that if you refuse a fare you go to the end of the line. Don't weaken your etiquette by implementing the two-light system. If you weaken your etiquette that is exactly what you will be doing and your resolve will suffer from it.
