Discrimination by the back door !

Reader comment on item: Don't Bring That Booze into My Taxi

This is an unacceptable way of imposing someone else's religion on to the rest of the populace. Don't they realise they have come to live in a nation that was founded on religious freedom !! If the taxi drivers feel so strongly about it, maybe they should consider going to a country where Sharia is the law and not live under a secular / Christian inspired constitution.

If airlines from muslim nations don't mind selling alcohol, why should these taxi drivers mind transporting it ?
Most muslims claim to abhor intoxication of any sort, and yet Afghanistan produces opium on an industrial scale ! Mullas refer to it as the crop of Jihad - their holy war ! Pakistan, yet another country with muslim constitution, happily provides conduits to it and ships it all over the world.

In anycase, most of these Koran spouting drivers hope to go to a heaven where the rivers and fountains run with wine !! So what's so wrong with enjoying it here ?

The taxi drivers should be sued under discrimination laws and not be allowed to impose their life choices on others. Its not the American way !!
