Reader comment on item: Did Michael Jackson Convert to Islam?
in response to reader comment: Napoleon converted to Islam? Freddie was secular

Freddy Murcury was born in Zanzibar to parents of Iranian - Zaostrian descent. Zaostrians are known in the East as Parsis, the root of Persian. They worship the goodness that light represents, especially the hottest colourless part of the burning flame. They are known as fire-worshippers, or sometimes, sun-worshippers. There are still pocket communities of Parsis in Iran, Pakistan and India. It is hard fo decipher them from Muslims, because they usually have Perso-Arabic names. He was however the first Middle Eastern or Iranian rock star to make it huge in the West. His voice is known to be hands down, the most versitile of any popular singer.

That's it... so homosexuality aside, Freddie was never a Muslim and we don't want him anyways! Haha!
